Synopsis:

The protagonist gets asked to work in a girls’ school which just happens to be located on an island called Lyserg which is located in the sky. The setting is a city which resembles a mid-century European town, and there, he meets many cute girlies…

Yuzusoft's 7th game. Their previous game, Dracu-Riot! was really good. Good enough to be placed in the Top VNs last year. Anyone who played Yuzusoft's VN would probably expect a lot on this new game, Amairo Islenauts.

The story starts with our protagonist, Saginomori Tooru, who is a teacher on the verge of giving up his job due to many unfortunate events. Having lost his direction of life, he spent his days uncertain of what to do until he receives a call from his professor during his university years. The professor suggested Tooru to become a teacher of Fen Cichlid Girl's Academy, an All-Girls School on the island of "Lyserg" located on the sky. A school filled with girls everywhere, his new life as a teacher begins.

Looking at the cover, there are about 4 Heroines, but no, there are 6 Heroines in the entire game with 2 Sub Heroines.

As expected of Yuzusoft, there are so many colorful characters everywhere!  We have a teacher protagonist and a pure love story on a fantasy island. Befitting to the title Amairo Islenauts, which translates to "Sky Colored".

Amairo Islenauts doesn't have the best storyline when you compare it to their previous game, but it's worth the read. I can't find any good reason not to like this VN with all these perfect character designs, a bit weird but lovable personalities, and good CVs (Miu from Dracu-Riot voiced Airi, while Irina voiced Yune). 

Now, we move on to our 4 Heroines and a brief summary of their routes. I said 6 Heroines, but I'll only write 4 since they are the most important. Laziness is part of it ;D

Yes, I know it's a Charage. But no matter how you look at it, Shirley is arguably the Main Heroine in this VN. She's also one of the most interesting characters. Shirley is a doujin artist, so she mostly spends her time fantasizing various ero things and trying to find materials for it. To be precise, she's a pervert. That personality is what made her take nude photos of herself in the classroom that Tooru barges into. You gotta love her delusions, she is very skilled in acting and often imagines Tooru assaulting the heroines.

Despite having such a downright personality, Shirley's past is rather sad. She lost her mother when she was young. Because of that, she frequently ask her brother about her mother, only to get the same reply that "she is a person who wanders". Receiving such a trauma, she often lock herself in her room and indulges herself to read manga and doujinshi which gave birth to her wonderful pervert personality.

Tooru decides to help her out by showing her that this place is filled with "warmth", that she's not alone, that she has friends who cares for her, Tooru proves it by spending time with her and many various ways.

I don't need to mention that Shirley fell in love with Tooru, right? What I like most is when Shirley returned Tooru's affection by giving him the same "warmth" he gave her. After a few events, Shirley learned a bit of Tooru's past, why Tooru attempted to quit his job as a teacher, and she found out that he was not able to help a bullied student, named Natsumi. Tooru blamed himself for being worthless and unable to help out this student.

Wanting to help Tooru, Shirley came up with a "Thank You Party" (she called it Global Warming Plan) with all the students in the class. She then searched for Natsumi, and thanks to various people, she was able to find her. Then invites her to offer their appreciation to their teacher. Tooru was caught completely surprised, breaks down crying in front of all his students. Yep, definitely the best route in the game.

My favorite heroine in the story. Yune is a transfer student from Japan, arriving a day after Tooru. Yune is... a perfect ideal Yamato Nadeshiko-like character, or so I thought, but she turns out to be quite a pervert meido masochist yandere sadist who loves watching people blush, Tooru and the other heroines included.

In her route, it was revealed that she was an athlete specializing in high jumps. She belongs to the Track and Field in her previous school. However, she had an unfortunate accident which tore the muscles in her foot. She soon fears high jumps which made her stopped practicing and leaving her athlete life behind. Tooru wanted to know more about her and decided to start practicing high jumps.

Next, the story dives into her father's collapse which allows her to make a financial excuse to leave the island and Tooru behind, but Tooru being unable to just forget Yune, decides to pursue help her out. Ever went as far as to ask her parents for Yune's hand in Marriage xD

Airi is the cousin of Tooru as I mentioned above. Like Yune, she too is a transfer student from Japan. She and Tooru haven't met for 10 years, but is now reunited again in the island after Airi transferred to the school Tooru works it. She calls Tooru "Onii-chan" the same way she calls him when they were young. She's extremely shy and deredere towards Tooru, and prefers using a cellphone to talk to Tooru. Not to mention she has a Hinyuu Complex ;D

I'm not sure what to say honestly. She loves Tooru when they were young, I guess you could call it "love at first sight". So her love until now is unrequited. In a sense, game says "Pure Love Story on a Fantasy Island", but her route is way unlike any pure-love with the incest. Of course as lover of incest myself, I DON'T MIND AT ALL. FUAHAHAHA.

Finally, we Masaki, a kedamonomimi. Masaki is a "Therianthrope", it's a hybrid between a human and a beast. A species that resembles a wolf, heck even her dad is werewolf-like. She's super glutton, loves eating donuts. So you all kemonomimi loving perverts out there, this route is for you.

Masaki's route started with her father and the owner of "The Bower of the Beast's Fangs and Claws" Inn, Owen Gaillard suddenly collapsed. The cause of this is an appendix infection, yes a simple surgery is needed, but who'll watch over the restaurant with Owen's absence? No one! Yep, the shop needs to be closed, not until Tooru suggested opening it up again. Masaki, while opposed at first slowly started to help out. Now the romance begins.

This is a Charage-type of VN/Eroge, so there are no True Routes in the game. The purpose is to build up relationships, and more character developments on the heroine. Digging up their past and history, then finding ways to solve it. It's that kind of VN~

Despite the game rated high, overall, I find it fairly enjoyable. Another good title from Yuzusoft with awesome CGs, awesome CVs, awesome character designs, awesome OST (OP and ED Song are quite catchy). Reminds me again how much of great company Yuzusoft's is, and their VN are worth playing.

TL;DR

Never had a chance to play it when it was released since I was too busy with Grisaia Trilogy. Anyway, with Amairo Islenauts finished, it's time for the last title I saved up for July's release グリムガーデンの少女
